The Far Cry series of one of Ubisoft’s biggest game Intellectual Properties. The latest game, Far Cry 5, was released in 2018 following a successful launch from its predecessor Far Cry 4.

Far Cry 5 Stadia Prices
On the week of November 2nd 2020, Far Cry 5 was on sale on Stadia. The prices were reduced significantly for Stadia Pro members.
The Stadia Pro price for the basic version was $12 while the Ultimate was $18. The New Dawn DLC Expansion itself was $12 and the New Dawn Ultimate Edition was $15.

The best deal for Far Cry 5 newcomers is the Ultimate Edition since you get everything. This includes the New Dawn DLC expansion which is almost a whole game in itself.
Ubisoft Crossplay?
Since prices were so low, we bought it and tried to see whether crossplay is enabled with other platforms like the Division 2 since this is a Ubisoft game.

Inviting Friends for Far Cry 5 Co-op
Linking up with friends on Far Cry 5 is easy. I am playing in GeForce Now and you can see it is as simple as going to the in-game menu, tabbing over to the Online section and hitting the Invite Friends option.
This is will open your Ubisoft Connect Friends list to see who is online to choose from. Select a friend to invite and you are good to go.
Now with Far Cry 5 on Stadia, the process is basically the same. We get to the point in the game where we can actually invite a friend to do Co-op. Go to the Online tab and hit the Invite Friends option.
Instead of the Ubisoft Connect Friends list, we get a specialized Stadia box to add a friend to your game. This is an option box just for Stadia friends only.
You cannot Co-op crossplay with Far Cry 5 on Stadia.
This is the way it is for now. There’s always a chance that this will be changed. Crossplay on different platforms is becoming a lot more popular so you never know if this will be added some time in the near future.
Far Cry 6 Crossplay?
There might be chance that the upcoming Far Cry 6 will be crossplay compatible, but we have to wait for more information on that since the game has been pushed back.
